This new approach plate roller guide attachment is for 10, 12, and 16 SeriesSteel car carriers. This new attachment enables 180 degrees of light-dutyrecovery capability at the back of the carrier. The roller guide attaches tothe approach plate and fits steel car carrier beds only that are 2018 andnewer. This roller guide attachment is designed to be used with 3/8″ and 7/16″wire rope and it is rated for 3,500 lbs. of line pull. The roller guideattachment is engineered to the highest standards of durability, and isconstructed of fabricated steel with zinc plating for corrosion resistance.This attachment utilizes the newer style approach plate with a bolt holeadjacent to the center rear chain lock for proper mounting. Older steelcarriers that do not have the bolt hole can be retrofitted by simply tapping aspecific sized hole at a precise location on the approach plate. Thisattachment hooks to the underside of the approach plate and locks into place atthe center chain lock hole. A 1″ machined round head bolt secures theattachment tot he threaded hole in the approach plate. Providing a rigidsecurement to the carrier bed makes this roller guide ideal for rolloverrecoveries. A low-mounted horizontal roller enables downward pulling off theback of the bed as well.
