Liftguard Sling Protectors from DICA are engineered to protect slings fromdamage caused by direct contact with edges, corners or protrusions of the loadsbeing lifted. They are magnetic for stable and easy placement for rigging onraw materials, freight, equipment and other metal objects. All magnets areslightly recessed to ensure a stay-in-place connection without scratching theload surface. Manufactured in the U.S.A., DICA s patented SlingProtectors are made from non-metallic, high- performance cast nylon and heatstabilized to allow for safe operations at higher temperatures. Providingsuperior abrasion and wear resistance, they are designed to comply with OSHAand ASME standards. Heavy Duty Sling Protectors offer the same sizesand widths as the Medium Duty but are considerably thicker, making them moredurable and able to withstand high pressure loading from more abrasive wirerope and chain slings. They are also suitable for synthetic slings. Like MediumDuty protectors, they can handle 12,500 lbs. per inch of sling width.
